What We Do

Wayne County CASA

Wayne County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provides a voice for abused and neglected children in Juvenile Court proceedings through highly trained community volunteers.

We believe every child in Wayne County deserves a safe and permanent home, where they can thrive. And we believe every child should have the opportunity to grow and develop into a contributing member of our community.

There are approximately 3,000 abused and neglected children in Wayne County in care. As a court-based program, Wayne County CASA has been able to serve an average of 125 children a year. By transitioning to a nonprofit, Wayne County CASA will focus on the growth of advocating for more children in the foster care system. It is our goal to serve every child in Wayne County who needs a CASA.

At Wayne County CASA, we are making a difference one child at a time.
